A member of Iran’s Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution visits different sections of Tabriz Quran Exhibition.

Mohammad-Ali Keynejad, a member of Iran’s Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, has visited different sections of Tabriz Quran Exhibition.

During his visit, the council member emphasized on the role that media coverage of cultural events plays in advancing the cultural development of the country.

The expo showcases different aspects of Quranic life, including hijab, religious publications, and other productions with Islamic culture values.

Tabriz, the fourth largest city of Iran and capital of East Azarbaijan Province, lies in a valley surrounded by hills on three sides.

The landmark Iranian city hosts many historical monuments, representing Iran’s architectural transition throughout its deep history.

The Blue Mosque, or Masjed-e Kaboud, the Ark, and the remains of the 12-sided tomb of Mahmoud Ghazan are among the most notable ancient buildings of the city.

Most of Tabriz's preserved historical sites belong to Ilkhanid, Safavid and Qajar and its grand Bazaar has been inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2010.

From the early modern era, Tabriz has been fundamental in the development, movement and economy of three neighboring regions; namely the Caucasus, Eastern Anatolia and Central Iran.

From the 19th century, it became one of the most important cities of Iran in some fields.
